LOWA CLIMBING Team Lasse von Freier

The next climbing goals firmly in sight

Lasse von Freier was eight years old when he took on a climbing wall for the first time with his father. And climbing is now a firm part of his life. Lasse, who is from Hanover, has achieved a number of notable successes in recent years. He finished third in lead in the overall scoring after winning the Germany Cup and reaching the finals of the European Youth Cup in bouldering. Just like his athletic role model, Alex Megos, Lasse wants to keep moving upward. His athletic highlight up to now was his qualification for the World Youth Championships in 2017, where he finished seventh. But he always keeps his eye on the prize: a victory at the Boulder Worldcup. Lasse has also shown what he can do in rock climbing, having already achieved Level 8a+. His motto is: “You can climb everything if you have the motivation.” With this in mind, he has big things ahead: Level 8c on the rock would suit him just fine.
