The Outdoormädchen, or “outdoor girl”, covers all aspects of life in nature. She has been enthralled by nature ever since she began to walk and is always ready to give new types of sports and techniques a try. She has been writing the blog since April 2011, filling it with informative, amusing and simply well-written posts. In the process, the writer always focuses on how women in the branch are doing. Hiking in a skirt, multi-day tours in the Wicklow Mountains and geocaching in all types of weather – and what challenges being a mother brought with it.

Day hikes: AEROX GTX LO Ws
“It is my favourite all-rounder for just about everything I do outdoors that is not too challenging. While I am hiking through the woods, walking on asphalt or trekking across mountain terrain, the boot always feels good on my feet and is a breeze to tie.”
Mountain hiking: FERROX PRO GTX MID Ws
“But when the terrain becomes more rocky and rough, I turn to the Ferrox. It offers protection from rocks and unwelcome critters on the ground.”
