SEEING THE WORLD WITH EAGLE EYES ..

Helmut Achatz and Nomi Baumgartl have been campaigning for the balance between man and nature in the Alps for several years. With their project "Eagle Wings - Protecting the Alps", they show in a spectacular way how nature and the glaciers in the Alps are changing due to climate change. The whole thing from a very special perspective - namely that of the eagles. In an interview with Andi Christl, the two talk about their special experiences with the "kings of the skies".

Having other athletes, friends or your parents as role models is something you are familiar with. Nobody would really see anything special in that. But what about a flying role model, a golden eagle for example? This is far from commonplace, except perhaps for Helmut Achatz. He has chosen Bruno. "A friendly, relaxed flying colleague with a fantastic knack for thermals." And Helmut knows all about that, after all he is a paraglider himself. As well as having fun flying together, they both love the beautiful expanses of the mountains.
