Photography is Richard Kienberger's great passion. In conversation with Andi Christl, Richard explains the freedoms he values in his profession and what he understands by "honest photography". Richard Kienberger's journalistic work began - in the traditional way - with a traineeship at a daily newspaper. The daily rhythm in particular has left a lasting impression on him, although he has long worked almost exclusively for magazines that only appear monthly or even quarterly or half-yearly. He therefore views topicality from a different perspective than a daily newspaper journalist. Nevertheless, working for special interest magazines, media from the corporate publishing sector or newspapers and magazines with different orientations and target groups remains exciting for him. The different pace allows him to delve deeper into the topics of many stories. A point that Richard Kienberger greatly appreciates.
