WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- Punching materials according to templates and models: Punching upper leather parts according to specified size divisions, taking into account the rational use of leather as well as any leather defects or damages; Punching or cutting out linings and accessories
- Preparing punched upper parts for further processing, e.g. splitting and leveling leather, sharpening edges: Assembling upper parts according to quality, leather condition, grain and color; Stitching upper parts together to form the finished shoe upper using sewing machines
- Adding decorations: Applying embossing and decorative stitching; Attaching eyelets, loops and other fittings
- Assembling individual parts and finishing end products: Connecting uppers and insoles using lasting machines; Gluing on outsoles; Making shoes ready for sale
- Checking finished products, as well as intermediate products, for compliance with company and legal quality and processing regulations
- Setting up, operating and monitoring punching, sewing and other shoe manufacturing machines at the workplace
- Regularly maintaining, cleaning and caring for machines, equipment and tools in the work area
