The name says it all! The half-day tour starts and ends at the Hemmersuppenalm and is around 7 kilometres long, so you should allow around 3 ½ hours walking time. You can take a cosy break at the Hindenburghütte, Sulznerkaser or Straubinger Haus mountain huts. The highlight of the tour is the view of Reit im Winkel and the surrounding mountain landscape from the Schuhmacherkreuz. Sturdy shoes and hiking clothing are recommended.
At the beginning, follow the hiking trail via the Anna Chapel and then the path to Straubinger Haus. At a rock spring, the hiking trail now leads uphill to the Schuhmacherkreuz (1665 m) with magnificent views of Reit im Winkl, Lake Chiemsee and the Kaiser Mountains. The descent leads westwards over alpine pastures to the Straubinger Haus, from where you follow the hiking trail to the Hemmersuppenalm, the starting point.
