Ridgeway Erzgebirge-Vogtland

From the Bärenstein mountain (898 m above sea level), the route leads downhill over the dam wall of the Cranzahl reservoir, continuing via Kretscham-Rothensehma past the hiking chapel, water treading basin, rest areas and the steam-powered Fichtelberg railway. Climbing steadily, the route reaches the summit of the Fichtelberg (1,215 metres above sea level), Saxony's highest mountain, after 18 km.
