Muggestutz, the Haslizwerg, is the biggest of all in the Meiringen-Hasliberg ski area. Especially in summer, the oldest Hasli dwarf and his friends are the centre of attention. However, the varied dwarf trail with its numerous adventure posts disappears under a thick blanket of snow in December at the latest. In the Bernese Oberland winter sports region, however, families with children take centre stage in winter too. With a bit of luck, the little ones will not only see the odd dwarf on the mountain, but also the former wrestling king and successful wreath wrestler Matthias Glarner www.matthiasglarner.ch, who calls the Haslital his home. After work, he also occasionally enjoys what holiday guests particularly appreciate about the sun-drenched Winterberg: the well-prepared winter hiking trails, toboggan runs and ski slopes as well as the incredible view of Lake Brienz and the rock and ice giants of the Jungfrau region towering behind the Haslital.

ROUTE:

Hasliberg Wasserwendi (1216 m) - from the Twing valley station, take the mountain railway to Käserstatt (1827 m) - follow the signposted toboggan run - walk up to Chüemad, then descend at breakneck speed via Mägisalp (1706 m) to Bidmi (1425 m) - after the last toboggan run, hike to Lischen station and take the mountain railway back to the starting point
