Daniel Peer

"A large portion of passion for running in nature"

Our LOWA Trail Racer Daniel not only has a wealth of experience in athletics, but also a great deal of passion for running in the great outdoors.

After years on the track and road, he took the plunge into trail running in 2023 - in search of new challenges and the feeling of freedom in the mountains. And with success: two victories at the Terra Raetica Festival and an Austrian championship title in the M35 category speak for themselves.

  • His perfect day starts with an espresso and a small breakfast - then it's off into the mountains. Hours of running through the landscapes of Tyrol and South Tyrol, accompanied by the scent of nature, the vastness of the view and the feeling of complete freedom. For Daniel, trail running is more than just sport: it's a way of life, a way of finding balance and an adventure all at the same time.

His tip for beginners? Continuity. First create the basis, then collect metres in altitude - and also accelerate downhill from time to time.
