"From road bike to trails - Selina Burch has found her sporting home in trail running"
Born in Obwalden in central Switzerland, Selina moved to Zurich to study. She now lives in Bern - and loves to spend her free time running in the mountains.
After a few years in road cycling, the pandemic brought about a turning point: while cycling races were cancelled, small mountain runs took place - and Selina discovered her passion for trail running. Since then, she has been at home on the trails, loves exercising in nature and follows her own rhythm - without a training plan, but with a lot of joy in being outdoors.
She recommends that beginners start out with a certain basic level of fitness - because the trails are often steeply uphill and downhill. And: always have enough to eat and drink with you, because you never know when the next opportunity for a break will come.
