In the mountains of Western North Carolina, the trails are steep and rocky. But that won't stop runners in the 50k relay, 50k run or 50-mile run from participating in the ultra-run from Pilot Mountain to Hanging Rock. LOWA's athlete ambassador Cyndi Wyatt will be offering shoe demos, discounts and prizes for participants.

50k relay race
Relay teams of up to 4 runners, with stages varying between 7.5km and 20.2km (4.7 - 12.6 miles). You can find more information about this course on the race website
50-mile run
This run begins at 607 Hauser Road, Pinnacle, North Carolina. This challenging course has three cut-offs at different aid stations:
- Aid Station #6 | 1:25pm | Mile 25.3 of 50M and 11.8 of 50K
- Aid station #8 | 16:45 | mile 33.5 of 50M and 20.1 of 50K
- Aid station #10 | 18:45 | Mile 44 of 50M and 25.6 of 50K

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
What to bring: This is a challenging run, so you should bring plenty of water, clothing in layers and sufficient food. The steep course may also require trekking poles and good footwear (for example a pair of LOWAs).
