OSTFALK NOMINATED FOR WMTRC

Jetzendorf, 17 July 2025 - German trail runner Johannes Ostfalk, who has been under contract to the LOWA Trail Racers since 2023, has been nominated to take part in the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships 2025 (WMTRC). The 34-year-old secured his ticket to the World Championships at a national qualifying race at the beginning of July. This is the Franconian's first participation in the World Championships.

"All the sweat, ambition and effort I've put into my passion for trail running over the past few years has paid off. I am immensely proud and grateful to be able to compete for Germany in the national jersey," says Johannes Ostfalk.

The World Championships will take place from 25 to 28 September 2025 in Canfranc, Spain. Ostfalk will be competing there in the short trail discipline. The world's elite will be racing up and down spectacular trails in the Spanish and French Pyrenees. In total, there are over 3,657 metres of elevation gain to conquer over a distance of 44.5 kilometres. The start and finish point is the historic railway station in Canfranc, which is a landmark of the region.
