Jetzendorf, March 24, 2026 – LOWA continues to expand its commitment to trail running and has signed Manuel and Hans-Peter Innerhofer (30), two of the most well-known Austrian athletes in the discipline. The twin brothers will become part of the LOWA trail running team, where they will take on a central sporting role.
Manuel and Hans Peter Innerhofer have been among the defining figures of the Austrian trail running scene for many years. By signing the two athletes, LOWA is investing in sporting expertise and an authentic understanding of performance-driven trail running. The brothers’ strong roots in the alpine environment, along with their responsible approach to the ecological and sporting surroundings in which they train and compete, shape their self-image as athletes and closely align with LOWA’s values.
“With Manuel and Hans Peter Innerhofer, we are gaining two athletes who compete at the highest level, live their sport and at the same time are credible ambassadors for our brand,” says Samuel Grill, Global Category Manager Trail Running at LOWA.
Originally from the Pinzgau region, the twin brothers have been active in endurance sports since their youth and have built a strong reputation in trail running over the years. Multiple national titles, including several Austrian championships, as well as top placements at international events such as the World Mountain Running Championships, underline their standing within the scene.

As part of the LOWA trail running team, Manuel and Hans Peter Innerhofer will be closely involved in the ongoing development of the trail running collection and will represent LOWA in at races, events and across brand communications.
