Charcoal burner trail on the Steinbach

The hike, which starts in the former charcoal-burning village of Langweiler, leads along natural paths through impressive landscapes, earthy forest and meadow paths around the Steinbach dam.

After starting in Langweiler, the trail passes the Croppenhof deserted settlement near Sensweiler and leads to Katzenloch. The trail then leads into the forest until the landscape finally opens up again, revealing a direct view of the Steinbach dam below Kempfeld. The route continues past the village of Bruchweiler (accessible via a 2 km long access road). Finally, you return to Langweiler.
