Description

The TIBET EVO 400 GTX with waterproof GORE-TEX membrane and high-performance PrimaLoft® insulation (400 g) is the essential companion for extraordinary adventures in snow, ice and freezing cold. The robust winter trekking boot in a classic design is equipped with numerous features to ensure maximum performance and maximum comfort. A precise two-zone lacing system combined with the specially developed "I-LOCK" clamping hook system, an asymmetric tongue construction and the innovative X-LACING® technology ensure that the boot fits perfectly. The upper material of the TIBET EVO 400 GTX is made from hard-wearing nubuck buffalo leather, while a rubber edge strip all the way round protects against the effects of rock and ice. The boot has a high stiffness, making it ideal for snowy summit and touring adventures in winter conditions. The TIBET EVO 400 GTX MID is also equipped with a grippy VIBRAM MOTTARONE ARCTIC GRIP sole, whose rubber compound specially developed for winter offers the best grip even on ice.

The tongue fits perfectly without slipping or pressure points: X-LACING® technology makes this possible without any problems. The special lacing fixes the tongue both vertically and horizontally. The lacing is independent of the individual height of the instep and is therefore ideal for every foot. Thanks to this lacing technology, the pressure of the laces is no longer only transferred to the hooks, but also to the tongue.

PrimaLoft® insulation is a synthetic, water-repellent insulating fibre. The outstanding thermal performance with low weight and excellent compressibility is achieved by a particularly thin polyester fibre.
These ultra-fine polyester microfibres are bonded together at millions of contact points under the influence of heat. This creates a tightly interwoven tangle of fibres that imitates the structure and functionality of down by creating countless small air chambers.
Body heat is stored in them, while cold air from outside is effectively kept out.
