VENTIERRA GTX MID

The DYNAPU® midsole is a sole developed in-house by LOWA using specially formulated polyurethane. Compared to traditional foams, it wears out more slowly and retains its cushioning properties for years. Impacts are reliably absorbed, protecting the joints. Nevertheless, the hiking boot offers sufficient stability for safe hiking on moderate terrain.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this. The best choice of inner lining for any particular situation depends very much on the intended use. Hiking boots with Gore-Tex® are waterproof and dry more quickly when the inside gets wet. This is an advantage if you spend a lot of time in wet regions or frequently go on multi-day hikes. This is because a wet inner lining is more likely to cause chafing and blisters. Outdoor boots with a leather lining, on the other hand, are not completely waterproof. If the boot gets completely soaked, it takes several days to dry out thoroughly. This is rather inconvenient if you have to carry on hiking the next day. However, the advantage of all-leather boots is their greater breathability, which creates a more comfortable foot environment in warm temperatures. If you tend to be outdoors in fine weather or are prone to sweaty feet, this option is preferable.

The outsole of the VENTIERRA GTX is a LOWA in-house design, developed for use on moderate hikes, when travelling or for everyday wear. It offers excellent slip resistance on both dry and wet paths. At the same time, it provides a comfortable walking experience.
