Alexander Werren was born in 1996 in Meiringen in the beautiful Haslital valley and grew up in Willigen as the eldest of three brothers. Through his parents, he came into contact with the mountain world at an early age, which still fascinates him to this day.

During his school years, Alexander joined the SAC JO Oberhasli. His father, who was also a mountain guide, and the JO gave him the tools to start his career in the mountains.

He has been a member of the Swiss national ice climbing team since 2015.

After his apprenticeship as an electrician, Alexander completed the mountain specialist recruit school in Andermatt.

In between, Alexander completed various further training courses, including the "Working on a hanging rope" course and the basic timber harvesting course.

After working as an electrician for two years, Alexander began his Swiss mountain guide training in 2019. At the same time, he joined the Swiss Alpine Rescue Service (ARS).

Alexander Werren is out and about for us and puts our shoes to the test in the terrain every day. His experience flows directly into the development of our shoes.
