Complaints

Please have your shoe checked by a specialist retailer or LOWA five years after the date of purchase, as weak points in the shoe construction can occur due to material ageing and wear!

WARRANTY

Our warranty is governed by the statutory provisions applicable in the customer's country. Should defects occur during this period, we will rectify them within the scope of your dealer's warranty. The warranty provider and point of contact for complaints is always your dealer with whom you concluded the purchase contract. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any responsibility for damage caused by improper care and incorrect use. As a rule, however, we can repair such damage at cost price.

My LOWA shoe is defective and I am not sure whether it is a warranty case or a justified complaint?

Please report any such defect to your LOWA dealer (don't forget your proof of purchase!). Your dealer is also your warranty provider and will deal with your complaint within the warranty period. With their expertise, they are best placed to judge what to do and whether your shoes should be sent in for repair.

Notes on material ageing (hydrolysis)
Soles with PU-based cushioning wedges (polyurethane) have very good cushioning properties and retain these for a very long time. However, PU foams are subject to normal ageing. The material becomes brittle over time and can come loose. The rubber outsole also ages over the years and hardens. This affects both the cushioning and grip properties of the rubber. You should therefore have your shoes checked by a dealer or LOWA after 6 years at the latest. Whether the shoe has been used or not is not relevant. Many models can then be resoled so that you can continue to use the shoe.
