Heel replacement is possible for injected shoes. This is a shoemaking technique in which the fleece insole is stitched to the upper using a strobble seam to form a solid unit. The outsole is then moulded on. The heel of this moulded sole can be sanded off and a new standard outdoor sole heel can be glued on at this point. A complete sole replacement is not possible with this type of shoe, as a moulded sole cannot be removed without damaging the upper.
For a heel replacement, the shoe should be a maximum of 7 years old according to the model, as the material used in the sole becomes brittle over the years due to the normal ageing process and can lead to irreparable damage. The upper should be intact, the profile in the forefoot area should still have sufficient sole material and the heels should not have worn out too much. LOWA offers various heel colours, but not all original sole colours are available to us, so we sometimes switch to a suitable alternative colour. We use a Hexa4Grip standard outdoor sole for heel replacements.
If you are unsure, simply contact us and attach a picture of the shoe, the label of your shoe and the sole.

HOW IT WORKS
Your first point of contact for all repairs under warranty is your LOWA dealer. With their expertise, they are best placed to judge what to do and whether your shoes should be sent in for repair or a complaint. If it is a complaint under warranty, take the shoe to the retailer or send it to the retailer if the shoe was purchased online or elsewhere. Please always enclose a copy of the proof of purchase and a brief description of the problem with the shoe. The retailer will then take care of the rest of the complaint process.
Is your shoe no longer under warranty or would you like to replace something?
Then we will be happy to help you!
