Exposed viewing cliffs, unspoilt gorges and the distant views from the edge of the eaves offer pure panoramic hiking. The view of the seemingly floating Hohenzollern ancestral castle is particularly impressive.

From the small hamlet of Stich, the trail gradually climbs along the edge of the mountain. Past the remains of old raised bogs. Over the Heiligenkopf to the Ritterstall and the Zollernblick. Again and again, the curtain of forests opens up to impressive views. On the plateau, the trail runs past the Zollersteighof farm, with a cosy place to stop for refreshments, to the Zeller Horn. Here you have an overwhelming view of Hohenzollern Castle, one of the most beautiful and most visited castles in Europe.

After the "Hangender Stein" natural monument, the trail leads to the "Neues Schafhaus" rest area at the height of the Kohlwinkelfelsen rock. The route continues around the Bühl through the characteristic juniper heaths - past coal mines and old ore extraction sites. Continue to the Raichberg tower near the Nägelehaus, where you can stop for refreshments. On a clear day, the view from the tower extends as far as the Feldberg in the Black Forest and the Zugspitze in the Alps. At the Dagersbrunnen fountain, the trail leads downhill through ravine forest to the fen in the Schmiechatal valley and back to the starting point.
