Round Trail Eckbauer and Partnach Gorge

If you want to experience as much as possible in a short time, this half-day tour is just the thing for you. The highlights include: Olympic ski stadium, Partnachklamm gorge, Eckbauer and of course everything on easy but spectacular hiking trails. The tour is also suitable for bad weather or perfect for a family day out, as the Partnachklamm gorge is a holiday highlight for young and old alike.

Tour tip: There is a lot to discover on the route: the path past the ski jumping stadium to the roaring Partnach Gorge is a highlight, especially for children. The gorge itself is damp whatever the weather, so a rain jacket is recommended. On the summit plateau of the Eckbauer, you can make yourself comfortable on a picnic blanket and enjoy the fabulous view of the Wetterstein mountains. Please don't forget to take your own rubbish back with you.

Ascent: The path is well signposted from the Eckbauerbahn car park/ski jump stadium in the direction of Partnachklamm gorge. At the entrance to the gorge (subject to a charge), the path becomes somewhat narrower and leads through several tunnels. At the end of the gorge, the hiking trail turns left uphill towards Eckbauer. Up to Vordergraseck, the path is initially a little steeper. Afterwards, you can continue for approx. 2 hours on spacious forest paths and wide hiking trails to the "summit" of the Eckbauer.

Descent: The descent can be made in a relaxed manner via the Eckbauer cable car or via the direct route down to Vordergraseck and back to the ski stadium.
