Fritz Miller

REALISATION OF A DREAM

LOWA ACTIVE TEAM

Fritz Miller has been fascinated by the mountains since his earliest childhood. Born in Reutlingen, he has always counted climbing and mountaineering as his dream in life. Although he didn't take it seriously at first, as a teenager Miller chose a few crags in the Swabian Jura as training grounds and turned his childhood dream into reality.

  • Over time, he also travelled to the Alps, not only for climbing, but also for mountaineering and skiing. However, his sport was still not much more than a time-consuming hobby. Fritz earned his living as a mechatronics engineer in a factory. However, as he simply felt more comfortable in the mountains, he made short work of it in 2007 and quit. He spent four months training himself and his body so intensively in climbing and mountaineering that he was promptly selected for the expedition squad of the German Alpine Club.

As a logical consequence and in order to live his dream to the full, he began training as a mountain guide a year later. Since then, he has also been realising small and large mountain dreams for his clients and particularly enjoys leading challenging alpine tours in the Western Alps. Fritz also works as a climbing coach and has also published a textbook on slacklining.

Fritz Miller,

Doyou have a role model?
"No, but of course there are people I look up to. They're mainly people who are really good at what they do and still keep their feet on the ground."

WHAT ARE YOUR SPORTING GOALS?
"There are lots of ideas and goals, but for me the most important thing is to survive and stay humble."

DO YOU HAVE A TIP FOR YOUNG CLIMBERS?
"Be patient. Your time will come, but only if you don't ruin yourselves first."
